Parliamentary Procedure Note: (Please refer to the attachment)

Tonight you will have the opportunity to "make a motion." 

The Toastmaster will announce the final changes to the agenda and will ask for someone to make a motion to approve the agenda as amended. 

Be the first to raise your hand, stand when recognized and say “Madame Toastmaster, I move that the agenda be accepted as amended." (Amended means as changed, updated or corrected. If there are no changes, you would say, I move that the agenda be accepted as Distributed)

The Toastmasters will then call for a Seconder. 

Another member raised their hand and says "Madame Toastmaster I second the Motion." 

Then to Toastmaster will call for a vote by saying "All in Favour" and "All Opposed' and counting the raised hands for each.

The Toastmasters will announce the outcome of the vote. "The Motion is carried." (or defeated) .

During the Business Meeting, we follow the same process for approving the Minutes of the last meeting.
