About Our Club

Welcome to the Randolph AFB Toastmasters club.  Our club chartered on 1 October 1958.  We are a club that has a diverse population with active duty officers, enlisted, retired military, civil service, and contractors.  Every time we meet we have three meeting objectives:  (1)  Informative (2)  Educational (3)  Entertaining.  We are a private non-profit organization that depends on its members dues to sustain the organization.

If you have a fear of public speaking, need some tuning up on your leadership skills, or perhaps you simply want to learn how to conduct a meeting, develop teamwork, or learn what it means to mentor someone in communication or leadership skills, you are in the right place.  We pride ourselves in helping our club members through a proactive and strong mentoring program.  Once our members join, we try and locate a mentor that would be a good fit for both the mentee and mentor.  We believe that mentorship is key to our club members' growth in leadership and communication and builds self-confidence in the member.

We help our club members build their self-confidence through practical experience in giving prepared speeches, performing club meeting roles that include evaluation and impromptu speaking (speaking off-the cuff).  We also give you the opportunity to get outside of your comfort zone and showcase your leadership skills through in-club environment as well as outside of the club atmosphere.  You will get to do these things once you become a member of toastmasters.  You will enjoy the same benefits that toastmasters has to offer everyone.

All guests are welcome that have base access to JBSA Randolph TX.  Anyone who is 18 years and older may join toastmasters.  If you belong to another club and would like to transfer to our club, please let our club secretary know and we can get the paperwork started for your transfer.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to abide by the social distancing requirements, we are currently meeting on-line with Zoom meetings.  You may go to our "next meeting" and "view meeting" tab on the left hand side of your screen and click that you would like to attend.

Our meeting room will be in classroom #24 in the JBSA Randolph Education Center.  We are not allowed to bring food in the classroom, unless we get prior approval for special occasions.  The only drink that is allowed in the classroom is water and as long as it is in a bottle and covered with a top to prevent spilling.  You will know that you are in the right place when you arrive because there will be a Toastmasters brand banner outside the classroom door.  We begin our meetings on Wednesday right after the 12:00 p.m. base siren has concluded and we end our meetings promptly at 1:00 p.m. or earlier because we value our guests and club members time.  Although we meet on JBSA Randolph, Toastmasters is not part of the Department of Defense (DoD) or any of its components and it has no government status.

We look forward to your visit with us.

If you have any questions, please select the "Contact Us" page on the left side of our home page.

The Toastmasters Mission
A statement of shared values

Every Toastmasters club shares the same mission, clearly defined in the following mission statement:

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Through this mission, each Toastmaster gains a clear understanding of the club's purpose, and the organization as a whole benefits from a shared set of values and goals.
