1st Speaker Greg - Icebreaker "About me" told us about his interesting life from banker to to Inland Revenue d and a number of jobs inbetween. Greg spoke well and seemed not nervous at all. Well done Greg
2nd Speaker Ladi with "Getting it right"was all about the "right" behaviour that "behoves a decent woman" in Nigeria or "she would never get a man" her mother said. Being "trained to be a good wife for her husband" didn't go down well with Ladi and she had her audience in stitches wih the humour she used to illustrate her speech. Great job Ladi.
3rd Speaker Owen with "Just relax" gave us 5 simple, practical and free tips for reducing stress:
1. Remind myself that the most important time is right now. Be in the moment.
2. Give myself 10 minutes to just "be". Relax the mind and don't attempt to do anything.
3. Resist the internal chatter. Breathe our and say quietly or to myself "space".
4. Expand my peripheral vision.
5. Count my breathes (1-10) and breathe in and out each time.
